Core Curriculum

Notre Dame Academy is fully accredited through the Minnesota Non-Public School Accreditation Association.

What does this mean? Notre Dame Academy provides an excellent core academic program with a solid foundation for all students. As a parochial school we remain committed to quality curriculum in language arts, math, religion, science, and social studies.

Our curriculum is supplemented with Spanish, art, music, physical education, technology and library/media instruction by specialists at all grade levels.

Curriculum Review Cycle

The primary goal of NDA’s curriculum review cycle is to develop a guaranteed curriculum review process to be certain that we are up to date with our teaching materials, subject area objectives, and current best practices. A viable curriculum is one in which the agreed upon content and skills are covered and has a strong correlation to student achievement (Marzano, 2000).

The process supports the review of curricular content and resources on an eight-year cycle. Language arts is listed over a two year period as Language Arts covers, reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and research skills. To be certain that the elementary and middle school materials are affordable, the evaluation will be over two years.
