NDA offered five sports teams during the 2022 fall season, including soccer teams for both 4th and 5th grades playing at the cub level, one team playing soccer at the varsity level, one cub volleyball team, and one varsity volleyball team. We thank all of our student-athletes, coaches, parent volunteers, and fans for their dedication all season long.
Notably, the Lions varsity volleyball team, consisting of seven 8th grade girls, took second in the SSYO tournament and third place in the CAA/SSYO. Principal Jungels commented, “Congratulations to our fall sports teams and especially to our varsity volleyball team! We are so proud of them for many reasons. This note from a Chapel Hill parent, who the team faced in the championship game in October, demonstrates the most significant reason: I am a parent of a Chapel Hill Academy volleyball player, and I wanted to let you know how impressed I am with the girls from your 8th grade team. We played them in the championship over the weekend, and they showed great sportsmanship even in defeat. Then tonight they stuck around after their game to watch our girls play and congratulate us after the game. These girls deserve a lot of recognition, and you should be very proud of them. Whatever you are teaching them I hope it rubs off on our girls. Great work!”

Great work to all of our Lions. We are looking forward to a fun winter sports season for our basketball teams!
